Rather than post a couple of favorites, here's a link to my gallery with a lot of Gamebridge pieces. I have a few more to add in the near future

And yes Peter, that does look like a Ceraurus hypostome. Definately not Flexicalymene or Isotelus, the 2 predominant species at the site. The brach is Trematis

Hi Peter & Kevin,

It was a pleasure spending time with you at JD's. Thanks for the link, Kevin! I'm looking forward to sifting through my finds when I get back home next week and that'll be a great help. Planning to write an article or two about my experiences in Ontario, so I'll probably be in touch again soon.

Best wishes, Roger.
Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger

Hi Roger... It was great meeting you in person at JD and hope you take back good memories of Ontario. Have a wonderful safe trip home to Germany! As a group... we had a great time.

Ditto what Peter said. Roger, did you manage to find any interesting pieces after we all abandoned you?

A few pieces from that day
1) A real nice Prasopora bryozoan, looking like a small mountain
2) Uncommon Achatella achates ctrilobite cephalon
3) large crinoid holdfast
4) Of all the "people" pictures I took, this is the only one that turned out. Ludwigia (Roger) hard at work in the bottom level of the quarry

Nice finds Kevin! The crinoid holdfast is interesting as I would of thought at first glance it was a bryozoan like shape.

Apparently I stand corrected. According to Dr. Dave at the ROM, it isn't a holdfast, but a nice example of Cyclocrinites, believed to be either an algae or a sponge. The "dimple" at the top had me convinced it was a holdfast. Either way, another keeper for the collection

Ontario has mainly ordovian, silurian, devonian deposits.... a vast hunting ground and even more vast when one starts looking into the micro stuff..... lots of fun.

Obviously some one also thought it was a crinoid as the name indicates that it was described as a 'crinites"

Actually they are still outside on the front porch as I have no space left in the house ... rocks everywhere in the living room ... along the stair case, basement filled.... I will bring the "garden rocks" inside before winter sets in.

Hi Guys! Just got back home safe and sound a couple of days ago and am checking in here for the first time in a week. You've all got some nice finds there! As to your question, Kevin, I found some nice Prasopora, Brachis, Snails, Trilo and Crino bits and some other things which are of interest since this is all relatively new to me. Of course I didn't make any spectacular finds since one day doesn't provide enough time to familiarize yourself with the material, so I really didn't know where or how to look, although I was beginning to get the gist of it by the end of the day. Although I didn't have the good luck to find a complete Trilo I'm not complaining. It was just great to hunt around in new territory. Once I get some things prepared properly, I'll post a few pics of the beauties. And thanks for putting your saw to use for me, Kevin. I'm happy with the big bug, even though he's a headless horseman.
The photo is flattering...you can't see my beer belly. ;) You may also notice that my glasses are aslant. I was needing some new ones anyway, so I helped that along by treading on them after I'd taken them off in order to wash my face in a puddle while the sun was setting. That was a great drive back to Sauble Beach in the dark with only one lens.

Best wishes, Roger

Some of my finds are attached here. Though nothing great compared to your finds. As you know, I am just a noob. Roger thanks for the Ludwigia and other stuff. It made my kid's day. Was asking if Ludwigia was Canadian as it had those markings looking like "maple leaves". I explained to my kid that the fossils are from Europe and not Canada. Thanks much.

Regards

Tanny

Hi Tanny. It was a pleasure meeting you. You know the maple leaves are the suture lines don't you? Kevin told me you'd found an enrolled Trilobite. Looks nice. Very good find. I'll post some pics of some of my finds later on. I'm still busy with the stuff from Hungry Hollow.

Best wishes, Roger.
