Hay all,
How has every one been. Sorry I Havent been on here is has been a hectic year with graduating with my bacholers in Pre vet med from U of I and looking for a new job, plus a nasty break up( alwasy fun BLUCK!). I still have managed to get out a few times and I have had one awsome summer!!! I have found so much that I have had to make 3 or 4 trips up and down the stream in order to get it all out. Matt Cable and Placoderms came down and hunted with me the 21st of August and we probubly found about 50 heads beteen all of us. I am ovewhelemed with everyhting that I have to prep but I can always do that in winter when I cannot hunt. It hasnt rained in my spot in like a month so i will go out again once it rains. I wanted to share soem of the stuff that I have gotten in my last few hunts and thank Matt Cable and Placoderms for coming down and hunting with me and for all their help in hauling everyhting out! It was sooo much fun guys hope we can do it again next season! Speacial than to Matt Cable for prepping my plate for me. It looks awsome and had 3 surprise crinoids yay! Before I went with the boys I went the day before my birthday in July. I found my 3rd starfish Attached File  S5001029.JPG   111.99K   23 downloads but he is my first one that is totally free like that he is missing part of his arm but I dont care :D I thought my birthday trip was going to be over and more crinoids started popping out just as we were ready to give up and leave. First to show up was a little flexible Onychocrinus Attached File  S5001027.JPG   65.71K   10 downloads, next to pop up was a little Agariocrinus splendens he was beat up but has regeneration on 3 armsAttached File  Crinoied 1a.JPG   456.15K   10 downloads Attached File  crinoid 1b.JPG   504.37K   6 downloads Attached File  crinoid1c.JPG   411.77K   11 downloads then came the really awesome find of the day a completely free taxocrinus colletti in the shale mud. He is sooo neat I am going to have it wrapped in silver wire and put it on a necklace. Attached File  S5001022.JPG   107.56K   16 downloads Attached File  S5001023.JPG   108.97K   13 downloads
On my crinoid buzz I am drove to my BFF Seastars house to show off my finds and she gave me another one for my BDAY. And it turned out to be one that I didnt have too. I love her so much she is like a sister to me :D He is a Decadocrinus tumidulus Attached File  S5001024.JPG   80.8K   9 downloads Here i am thinking my Bday is going to suck b/c im gonna be stuck at the Dr with my mom all day but turned out to be one of my best Happy Bday to me!

About 2 weeks before my bday I think I found the piece de resitaunce of the whole summer though. He is a gorgous starburst Agariocrinus splendens. He is probubly one of my top 3 favorite that I have ever found just because of the odd position that he is in. Attached File  RSCN0128.JPG   111.26K   27 downloads Attached File  RSCN0134.JPG   226.69K   15 downloads The arms go down the edge of the rock so that you can see them in the front as well Attached File  RSCN0136.JPG   111.23K   8 downloads and just look at the arch on that stem Attached File  RSCN0135.JPG   331.12K   7 downloads Thanx all for looking I'll post more as I get them prepped.

I love the starburst Agariocrinus splendens. Thats about the best example of a crinoid I have ever seen.

Long Live the Queen! Your finds are beautiful  and I love the detail on them. I would love to find some of those one day.

Hi Crinoid Queen... I've only been active here this summer and a bit, so I feelodd welcoming you back. But welcome Back. What a cool bunch of crinoids. That last one is a kickbutt specimen, with its wraparound arms. Wow. Sounds like you have too many to prep, so I think you should just send a crappy ole crinoid head this way...

Beautiful crinoids.
Thank you so much. I love sharing them with you guys as much as finding them. I got a few more done over the last few days since I had the holiday weekend off. Here are the two that i posted that were not prepped yet. A taxocrinus colletti Attached File  DSCN0145.JPG   662.8K   7 downloads and a Macrocrinus mundulus Attached File  DSCN0144.JPG   347.54K   8 downloads They are both a bit banged up but the macrocrinus has a nice anal tube! When I got doen working on those two I started on what I though to be another scytalocrinus decadactulus but as I dug out the calix I came to realize soon that it was something that I had never seen before. I know it is is also not a Scytalocrinus disparilis as well any one else have any ideas what this guy might be. His arms have a few chips out of them too but i love the one with the loooong stems :D Attached File  DSCN0146.JPG   403.06K   8 downloads I have to work a ton this week so I will try to get some more prepped to show to you guys. Thanx for looking and being so nice and saying they look good!
