jwcounts Posted February 13, 2011 Share Posted February 13, 2011 These are trace fossils...impressions in the sediment made by burrowing animals. The 3rd is definitely Chondrites, and I'll venture to say that 5 and 6 are also, only with less 3-d preservation. not sure on 1 & 4.. it appears to be a simple, unlined, branching surface trace. A little research could probably nail it down. The big ones in #2, I can't tell with such small photos and no scale exactly what they are.. Great finds! #3 especially is a wonderful specimen.
