Searobin Skull Plates

These are Searobin skull plates found while hunting SC beach. Most or almost all people that walk the beach have no idea what these black things are and I didn't until a paleontologist identified them as searobin shull plates.

Did you find out the names of the smaller black pieces in 5 ans 6?  I know they attach to Sea Robin Skull fossils but what is just that part called?  thanks!
