Roman... Its a really great blog and very nice to see some of your finds together and really nice to see all your collecting sites and country... fabulous... The view of the 4 coal heaps is my favourate photo, I love it... We have one similar heap (very steep sided) in Somerset England and when I get chance sometime in the future when I'm living there I will photograph it to show you...

Thanks Steve

Great thanks, Roman! I enjoyed a lot! It's interesting, what kind of rock is it - mixture of coal with sands/clays? What does remain after it burns out? (And how does it look, when such mountain is burning?)

Hi Roman, that map with locations and finds are fantastic. I knew you had a number of sites to visit around Donetsk but oh my gosh I didnt realize so many...looks like over a hundred....that must be really convenient. I remember being in California years ago collecting Cenozoic and Mesozoic material and I'd go out to my favorite hill weekly just a short drive to all kinds of other different sites as well.... I miss that alot!! Keep up the great work..its nice to see what you are finding...looks like you really love this hobby! Regards, Chris

Hi Chris, thank you! That map is a mine heap locations, 157 ones in total at Donetsk City inside. There is no fossil at each of them, but main sites I described in the blog. That hobby brings me the discovery filling I missed with my age... Some time ago I travelled all over the world included Arctic Basin and Antarctic pack ice...
