    Comments

Members of the Hamulus genus are easily confused with Scaphopoda (tusk shells) and were originally identified as such. The shells are curved tubes ending in a point, with smooth interiors.

Hamulus squamosus begins with less pronounced ornament and grows wider longitudinal ridges as it matures1.
