The fossil itself measures about 8 cm long with a width of up to 4 cm (measurements listed in that section are of the rock itself.

It is difficult to see but a small stub of an appendage is visible on the left side of the head.

Most papers in the last decade classify it as: Eurypterus tetragonophthalmus

Here is the most recent paper:

    Poschmann, M., Schoenemann, B., & McCoy, V.E. (2016)

Telltale eyes: the lateral visual systems of Rhenish Lower Devonian eurypterids (Arthropoda, Chelicerata) and their palaeobiological implications.

thanks,Piranha.Haven't got that one yet,but most of the others by Schoenemann.

I just thought Baltoeurypterus was conspecific with E. Fischeri.,basing myself on Selden.
