    Comments

Dwarf Brachiopoda from early Toarcian Koninckella fauna in Portugal (Polymorphum Zone, Semicelatum subzone), comprising particularly Koninckella liasina, Nannirhynchia pygmaea and Pseudokingena deslongchamps.

Koninckinidae became extinct in the early Toarcian and has minute size and peculiar shape (that is very similar to that of the Paleozoic strophomenids).

    Very nice.

The last of the Athyridids, the Koninckinidae became extinct in the Lias, so these are a very interesting group.

Athyridida became extinct as an effect of the Early Toarcian Oceanic Anoxic Event (T-OAE)

Yes, also contributed to the extinction of the Spiriferinids as well. :shakehead:
