Agree. Looks plesiosaurian to me though (fine enamel ridges of various length)

Well, that's because it is a plesiosaurian tooth (sensu lato) :P

I'm quite convinced this is a pliosaur tooth, though, as, in my experience, the striae on plesiosaurian (sensu stricto) teeth are typically even less pronounced; striations on teeth of the affiliated Peloneustes sp. are also not all that pronounced (see post referenced below); the striae run parallel to one another, in a more ordered fashion than what's usual for non-pliosaurid plesiosaurs; the tooth looks quite sizeable and robust; and striations do not need to run the full apicobasal length of a pliosaur tooth, nor do they need to start all at the same height (see the image from Tarlo [1960] below). In fact, when it comes to it, the teeth of Peloneustes sp. are much more like those of plesiosauromorph plesiosaurians, and less like those of short symphysis pliosaurians. With the teeth of 'Pliosaurus' andrewsi being a close match for Peloneustes, only lacking ornamentation on the labial side, I believe the identification of this tooth to likely (since we can only see the lingual side) be correct.

I suspect the species name P. anderwsi is a typo - I can not find the species on the Internet.

Well-spotted. It should be 'P.' andrewsi :look:
