    Comments

The seahorses from Fiume Marecchia were determined by L. Sorbini as Hippocampus ramulosus Leach, 1814, a recent species. H. ramulosus is according to the World Register of Marine Species (WoRMS) a synonym of H. guttulatus Cuvier, 1829.
