    @Plax after doing some research I believe the species may be A. major. Lit: Additions To The Upper Cretaceous Invertebrate Faunas of The Carolinas; Stephenson, 1926

    looks like forteplicata to me. In Stephenson's 1923 it looks like fearensis. Could well be major though. What formation and locality is it from in Stephenson?

    @Plax In Stephenson was found at "the new Rocky Point quarries a mile northeast of Rocky Point Station.  Upper Cretaceous, upper part of Exogyra costata zone. It is remarkably similar to his drawing of it. May just go back and call it sp. again.

    It's all good plax. Sometimes disagreeing with an ID can lead to new insight on both parts. It certainly has made me look at it some more.
