ID not certain at all. Very smooth for a Canadoceras. Maybe I should just say 'Pachydiscid'?

Exact day of collection is unknown.

This ammonite is very similar to what I have been finding in the Talkeetna Mountains. I am working on identifying what I have found and certainly have seen Pachydiscus sp. here. IMG_1175.thumb.JPG.bf4616da26055a8dda8dce5c4ae18742.JPGThis shows the common geologic connection to our two areas.

Nice one. There are noticeable similarities across the continent for our slice of time, especially within the North where you and I are. There seem to be lots of pachydiscids that look very similar, I hesitate to put an ID on some of them as it might require a look at sutures to distinguish them, and that's something I must leave to the pro's.
