Small fossilized coral head found earlier this year in Florida's Alafia River.
I've read that Florida's fossilized coral ranges in age from 25-45 million years old when large areas of the state were covered by shallow warm seas.
Looking at all the types of coral that grew in the area, I would never presume to guess what species this is. This photo shows the detail on the bottom of the coral head.
