Some Minnesota ~Fossils

Some Minnesota ~Fossils

A good friend of mine and I (my buddy almost full time) have started doing some amateur rock and bone hounding in Southern Minnesota. In our county, Pleistocene specimens are somewhat rare, and older epochs even rarer. River gravel bars are what we hunt mostly. Here are some of the finds from the last three years. Also are included a few local fossils found by others in the area over the last 100 years (see image descriptions)

Thanks! We just happen to live near some smaller rivers that cut through the ice age River Warren's gravel deposits along the Minnesota river. It takes lots of looking but ice age and older stuff is in the area. My friend has found some cretaceous leaf fossils also. I'll add them.
