  5. Collection Showroom

My Collection Showroom - we call it "Atelier" - because its not only the home of the fossils and gemstones, I can do my paintings there and the coloration of prepared fossils.
Sometimes we celebrate little parties just like birthdays there in and everybody looks to the wonders of the nature.
Since 2 years its the playground for my boy Flori ( 4 years old now) and we started with an electric toy railway from märklin....

  9. 2018 National Fossil Day, Delaware Style

I spearheaded a project to bring National Fossil Day to Delaware in 2016 with a trip through Delaware Nature Society to the famed, but mostly lost, C and D Canal. This year, I made my second annual DNS trip and added a mini museum in the Ashland Nature Center for the weekend. The Delaware Museum of Natural History contributed with donations of free fossils to take home. Can't wait to keep it growing next year!

  15. Adam's Cambrian

A rangeomorph holdfast from the Ediacaran of  the Flinder's Range in Australia.
It is labelled as  Medusinites mawsoni,  as it was believed to have belonged to a jellyfish, but this is now not considered to be true, and is likely similar to Charniodiscus  in being the holdfast for a member of the Vendobionta, probably a fractal rangeomorph like  Charnia.
This is therefore Precambrian in age, somewhere between 550 to 560 million years old or so.

  22. Fossil Plants 1 Devonian Psilophyton

I started collecting fossils with vertebrates, sometimes my friend and me we found fossil plants.
But the plant fossils have less importance than the fish and amphibians, acanthodians and sharks ........ years later I became a gardener, graduated from the master school and asked me only the question ... how did it all start? When did the first plants keep the head out of the water and populate the still inanimate land? I rummaged through the internet, which I found first - Rhynia ..... and similar plants as Psilophyton ... now had suddenly the first finds of the Perm meaning, the puzzle grew, still growing ... every fossil is a Wonders how fragile plants can be, how wonderful, if we can find them as fossils. ..... Then I moved, now in the middle of the Devon and have a famous place of reference before the door ... Plants of Alken on the Moselle!
I found some plants like Psilophyton and saw some collectors hunting for Trilobites...the plants had been thrown away,....perhaps they didn´t know about it!!!
Pity for them - what a blessing for me !
