5cm. Geisingen Oolith from the clay pit. Concavum Zone, Upper Aalenian. We still call these layers Dogger, or Brown Jura beta.

That's another nice one, is it preserved in pyrite?

Sorry it took so long to respond. I forgot to click on the "Watch" button. No, it just looks that way since the preserved shell is colored by the iron oolites(siderite) which abound in the sandy limestone matrix.
