6" bakersfield meg

Hey Lisa, I'm sure you know this but 6" STH teeth are so rare. The middle Miocene did not produce the full-grown megs that come out of the Pliocene, so a 6 incher is truly a treasure, congratulations!

Hi Marcel, to be honest I should edit this...I remeasured the tooth and it's a little over 5 3/4" It still is our biggest tooth to date and quite a find at that length! I agree we don't find them as big as they have been found at Pliocene locations.
