Ptycholepis marshi Newberry.
Early Jurassic, (Hettangian)
Shuttle Meadow Fm. Hartford Basin, Connecticut.
This is one of the more rare fish found in the Newark Supergroup.
I more commonly find disarticulated scales.
There is a very thin layer of shale over the caudal fins, and part of the body as well.
Needs prep by air abrasion.
