tooth?

I thought this may be a horn coral at first but looking at it, I think it could be a tooth. Under the matrix rock is something else as seen with the brown bumps. Not sure how to dissolve the matrix and too scared that I would ruin the fossil if I tried.

Defiantly a nice rugose coral, I didn’t see enough detail to identify anything else. Yes, you would eat all of it in acid, try a little vinager for a few min. and take it out and look at it. Do this for a while until you get what you want or start losing the coral.

Thanks... I am trying the vinegar just on the back side for now. I will let you know how it turns out... :o
