Cosmopolitodus Hastalis

Just made the 3" Club. On a diagonal this Hastalis measured out at 3-1/16th of an inch......Can't remember but I'm pretty sure this tooth came from Slow Curve....If it didn't then it came from Sheep Hill.

Congrats on making the over 3" club. Nice condition and color too! I found mine on slow curve during a Ernst/museum dig back in 2005. We have not found one bigger yet. Way harder to find that size than a Megalodon!

Hey Lisa thanks!...I've found some big Planus over at Slow Curve...no where near 3" but well over 2-1/4"...Last dig at Rob and Marys I found a "sliver" of an edge to a meg....Maybe one day LOL

Planus tend to top out at around 2 1/4", this is a hastalis tooth; a much larger species of mako.
