Your shell is actually Strombus aldrichi Dall, 1890. It is found in the Chipola Formation along with Strombus chipolanus Dall, 1890. S. aldrichi is very abundant at some localities. S. chipolanus whose aperature lip is lower and widely flaring is much rarer.
