Beautiful! These look like the corals from back home in Indiana! ^-^ Are these rugose corals from Ordovician silica deposits?

Thanks Larsa. To answer your question Rugose started to appear during the Ordovician. These corals are from western New York and are all from the Devonian. If you get a chance go to the quarry. Most folks I met were newbies and that was there first experience collecting fossils. They all seemed to be focused on finding a perfectly intact Phacops trilobite. Trilobites are cool, but there's so much more!
