This photo shows a more or less typical fossil hunting day at Big Brook. The finds include exogyra, oystra, brachipod, a small piece of fossil bone and two modern bones, deer and an unidentified femur from a small mammal.

Rather than deer, that appears to be a domestic pig jaw.

The maxilla is definitely deer. The picture of recent Big Brook finds does not show the maxilla very well. I'll attach another picture.
