Black Tailed Jackrabbit (Lepus californicus) calcaneum

Labeled as being from the tar pits in Los Angeles County, but more likely from the McKittrick tar seeps in Kern County, CA. At any rate, the person I got it from extracted it from an old block of tar matrix themselves.
