Ancient Bones Posted November 25, 2014 This image has been replaced to reflect the species correction supplied by MikaelS. That complete tooth illustrated as Cretoxyrhina is another Cardabiodon venator, this time an upper lateral tooth. These small juvenile teeth commonly lack cusplets (see my 2005 paper in Acta Palaeontologica Polonica). The labial vascularisation is typical for mid-Turonian Cardabiodon and quite different from that of Cretoxyrhina. The Western Interior Seaway was probably the main nursery for this genus in the Turonian. Cheers Mikael Thank you again Mikael, you have been a great help. Ancient Bones Link to comment
