Termite Coprolite and Eggs in Opalized Gymnosperm Wood

Modern dampwood termites are know to line their nests with fecal pellets. Well, evidently they have been doing this for millions of years. In this microscopic view, the tiny white termite eggs can be seen among the larger pinkish coprolites. They are shown in relation to the tip of a pin.
Period: Paleogene - Paleocene Epoch
Location: Nowopskow (Lugansk Gebiet), Ukraine
