This is a close-up of the group of Rhobiferan resin casts explained in the adjacent photo. I'm attempting to show the true color here. It's not a perfect match to the original fossil, but I tried pretty hard to get it right. The resin has a light yellow color, which is hard to paint over. I began using resin coloring before setting the resin in the mold to correct this. I mix black and white resin dye to create a grey shale color for the specimen that I then paint over.
