Reptile or fish coprolite

Large coprolite containing fish scales.

This could have been made by the large phytosaur, Rutiodon, as their skeletal remains have been found here in the past.

The large size of this points to a possible reptile coprolite.




Late Triassic,

Lockatong Formation,

Newark Supergroup,

North Bergen, NJ.
