Coelacanth Scales and Bones
Scales and bones of an Early Jurassic coelacanth, Diplurus longicaudatus.
Shuttle Meadow Formation, Hartford Basin, Connecticut.
Found on 11/14/2016.
This is the rarest fish to find in the Hartford Basin.
Even small bits of these are few and very far between.
