Actually it's an inlay - the original slab was not very pretty and too small.

Still, a very nice prep job.    Also, you seem to have a whole lot of really nice triple AAA Grade specimens.   You must be filthy rich or a world travling fossil hunter?  :)

Unfortunately not filthy rich - I am a polymer chemist and have to earn my living.:(

But my father and my grandfather already collected fossils - though on a lesser scale,  I myself collect fossils now for over 50 years, I am traveling a lot,, my home town is Darmstadt near Messel and Solnhofen is not so far away.

It's a rather small baby - only 12cm in length. Adults can reach at least 80cm.
