I prepped out this crab for my eldest son about 20 years ago.  You can see by the shape of this rock that it was not round in any way and still ended up a really good crab!!!  A lot sticky though!!!

@RJB I see what you mean by sticky. I've been reading up on this. Do you apply a resin coating to the fossil once it's prepared? I think it still looks spectacular (or dare I say crab-tacular).

Only wish I prepped this crab a few years later when I learned patience.  But yeah, this crab was exstreamley sticky!  but I do use Glyptal for a coating over the intire crab.  Some folks do not like a coating of any kind, but the glue holds everything together especialy when the crab has trouble spots and there can be many to say the least.  Depends on the crab.
