Temnodontosaurus tooth
A very nice Temnodontosaurus tooth from the quarry Kromer near Holzmaden (Lower Jurassic).
Temnodontosaurus was a huge Ichthyosaur. The tooth is about 2 cm long and 1 cm wide. So its one of my biggest tooth from Holzmaden !
In the "Schlacke" (a specific layer) you can sometimes find smaller teeth but such big teeth in a good condition are very rare.
