I know right ?! .. I just wish I had dug it up myself.  Maybe on one of my family trips back to SoCal I can make it out to STH someday. Unfortunately those trips are usually in August.

I'll also bet those teeth you are posting are from the hills East of STH (Ernst Quarries). The teeth from the quarries generally dont have the fantastic colors like that. Usually just a beige coloration.

The hills on the other side if the Kern River have the mineralization thus all the different colors.

Wow, that cool oddball coloring even for STH.  I don't think I've seen a tooth like that and I've dug there for years and seen the collections of people who've dug there a lot longer than I have.  In fact I need to show that to a friend who dug the hills before I was born.  Killer tooth.
