Interesting piece.  Can you show where this is located on a photo or diagram in published literature?

It IS the sclerotic ring. A couple sections of it.

Such an awesome fossil!!! Ive never seen any sclerotic rings for sale, full or partials, until this one, and never again since! It just showed up in stuff from someone I follow on...the popular auction site. It was pretty cheap too. At least compared to what I would imagine it would/could/should go for. It's from a pretty big animal, too. It's like 2.3/4" at the tallest point.
