Ediacaria booleyi (McGabhann 2007)

Ludwigia

13x8cm. This may or may not be a trace fossil. It was first thought to belong to the Ediacarian fauna, but now it's at least thought to be of organic origin. Called a Pseudo-Ediacaria at the moment.

I've heard of these (mentioned in the Ediacaran literature). Never stopped to think they would be available to collectors. Just based on this it looked like it has affinities to the Eldonia/Discophyllum group, but who knows? Did you find it yourself or buy/trade for it?

Found it myself. It was just lying on the beach when I visited the bay.
