Not mine - belongs to a university. I want to say it is about 3 inches in length. I cannot remember exactly where it was found, but I do know it was an isolated tooth found in Texas. Quite a rare and awesome tooth to see in person.

I saw this same tooth in person. And if I'm not mistaken the story behind it is SMU sent it off another university so they could study the tooth. When they mailed it back to SMU they didn't do anything to protect the tooth in the box, just threw it in the box and taped it up. SMU opened the box when it arrived and it was in a hundred pieces. They had to puzzle it back together to get it to look like this. Shame this happened to a once perfect tooth.

That was a different tooth. Here is mine with the one you are talking about. The one in the pic above is at the Fort Worth Science Museum.
