Busycotypus bicoronatum (Tripp, 1988)
Stratigraphy:  Pinecrest Sand Member of the Tamiami Formation

Location: Quality Aggregates Quarry, Sarasota County, Florida USA.

Status: Extinct

 

Notes:  Although similar in appearance to B spiratum, B bicoronatum is closer to the recent Channeled Whelk, Busycotypus canaliculatus but less inflated.
