Stratigraphy:  Pinecrest Sand Member of the Tamiami Formation

Location: APAC quarry, Sarasota County, Florida USA.

Status: Extant

 

Notes:  Today it is common on mudflats.  The most distinguishing characteristic is the coat of enamel-like callus spread flatly across the parietal wall.
