I believe this is a partial skull plate of an unidentified sarcopterygian fish. 

 Upper Devonian, Catskill Fm.

 

There is a chance that it is actually a Bothriolepis skull plate.

Wow, thats awesome Tim! Did Paul or Dave id it for you? I ask because it looks like the same material on that partial skull that Paul found at Red Hill - which I believe was Hyneria.

No, I was really just guessing, but it could be Hyneria.

I showed the pic of the ones I found to Dave who just got back to me - he would only say its a sarcopterygian skull plate (the same with the teeth.)  So theres a couple of possibilities. Though Hyneria is more likely do to the size in my opinion.

Jim,

Paul says it may be part of a Eusthenodon skull.
