Really? interesting.

They seem to have quite different morphologies, this specimen has a much wider interarea that separates the two valves while in others that is just a thin line separating the shells along the hinge. Do you know why that is?

I hope I described that correctly, I don't have a photo of the back of the specimen available to me at this moment

It may be a different genus entirely. 

When you have time, PM me pictures of the hinge line and the other valve.
