Brandy Cole

A small shard that did not look or feel like a typical rock.  It seemed to have lines similar to those I've seen on mammoth tooth plate fragments.

Definitely a fragment of a mammoth tooth plate. They're not always super common down here and I'd love to find a whole tooth sometime, but I still enjoy seeing the cool color combinations these little pieces of enamel can have - yours is especially colorful!

Thank you for the info!

We haven't been able to find anything other than plate fragments so far, and even those are rare.  I love

the enamel colors too.  I thought this was a really pretty little piece and was hoping it wasn't just wishful thinking. :-)
