Psychopyge elegans

Harry Pristis

Family Acastidae

Psychopyge elegans G&H TERMIER, 1950

Lower Devonian (Emsian) 392,000,000 ybp, or so

Hamar Laghdad Formation

Morocco

The Termiers had a sense of humor, it seems. The type specimen is a pygidium, and the species name, Psychopyge elegans, translates to "elegant soul rump" or maybe "the rump of an elegant soul."
