    Possible Cephalopod

So this really is the first fossil in my collection I've actually found. It looks like it could possibly be a cephalopod. Definitely marine whatever it is, as there is a variety of crinoid parts and other shells throughout the matrix. Unfortunately, the period is unknown. It was found in a creek near my house, but I am fairly certain the rocks were placed there as none are even partially buried underground and look very unnatural. Any ideas are welcomed.

    Internal Cast of Cephalopod

From the album: My very first identified fossils at the fossil forums

Found in Lawrence County, Missouri. It was brought to my attention that this is an internal cast of a Cephalopod in a mushroom stem. The cast is 1/2 cm in size that is visible.

    Humber River Area Find

I just wanna share this cuz I never found an endoceras this big before, which is kinda special and unique for me . I was out fossil hunting at the Humber river area here in Toronto with a good exposure back on Saturday and I came across this big phragmocone part sticking out of the bedrock. It was tiring having to dig it out. Siphuncle sticking out Dug out.

    Holes In Cephalopod

This cephalopod fossil (species unknown) has holes in its shell. It was submitted to the Science Museum of Minnesota's fossil ID program. The people there said that the holes were ornamentation on the shell of the cephalopod. However, I could not find information on a species of cephalopod that had holes in its shell like this. What does the Fossil Forum think the holes are? There is also a round, smooth object on one end of the specimen.

  20. Here are all my unknowns from the past few months of collecting and snapping pics before joining the forum. Some are weathered, but any help identifying is greatly appreciated The first two are glen rose formation dino prints about 16 inches from heel to to toe. The third is a nautilus (eutrepoceras?) from central san antonio i extracted from a soft limestone boulder. Its about 9 inches across and the lower of the three well-defined sutures i think is eroded into a deeper curve than it would have originally had.

Mystery Mollusk / Cephalopod Fossils ?

Unfortunately I have no location/formation info about this fossil at all, but I'm hoping someone will recognize these. The largest of the three is on the left, about 4 cm. wide. The one on the right is about 3.5 cm. Any thoughts? Thanks for your help!!

    What Is It?

Found in southern NV today. Appears to have radial symmetry but doesn't look like any crinoids I've found. Ideas?
