I found this fossil along the shore of a large river / Lake along a steep bank in a high erosion area in Northwest Montana. Could it be a fossilized egg? Or, Could it be a Coprolite from a carnivore? It looks like little bones and a wormy looking thing. Thank you for your help!

Im sorry to intrude on your topic but im trying to identify my egg found in Shasta County, it's got some baby bones that are slightly opalized inside the egg and the yoke appears to have pseudomorph into nephrite? the inner shell was packed with clay and the outer has been smoothed with water. i was thinking therapod? there seems to be several nests around my dig location but those are more football size and completely silted up inside, also petrified coral everywhere. hope i didn't upset thanks for your skills in advance

This is a clutch of dinosaur eggs from Gangzhou, Jiangxi Province of China. Note the small egg among the dinosaur eggs. Any idea if the small egg is a turtle egg or what? Sorry the images are not very clear as they were captured from a video.

Take a look at this egg, see how beautiful is its internal crystalisation. What is your view on its authenticity?

Gastornis Eggshell
Othniel C. Marsh posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
The item shown below is supposed to be a fragment of Gastornis eggshell, but the texture of the fragment does not look like that of any other fossil eggshell I have ever seen, avian or otherwise. Thanks in advance for any guidance Othniel -
Stumbled upon this today in north Texas while looking for some interesting Rock pieces. I was a little skeptical on any idea of being that important but the more I've looked into it the more optimistic and intrigued I am. This was found in a semi remote location where there was slight irrigation drainages exposing some top rock I would love your thoughts on if this is real and if so what you would suggest doing. Thank you for your time 20230708_205156.mp4 20230708_204652.heic 20230708_204845.heic

Hey Everyone, First time poster, just joined the forum. I will preface by stating that my fossil prowess is arguably non-existent, however, my quest for knowledge is great. My wife is a self-proclaimed "rockhound" and enjoys filling our home and backyard with any and all treasures found during our excursions. She recently came upon a treasure shown in the attached photos. I don't recall exactly where she found it, but we live in the Fort Worth, TX area and have not traveled too far recently, so it is likely local to North Texas. She is convinced that this is a fossilized dinosaur egg. I am not completely skeptical, as it does bear a striking resemblance to an egg and even appears to have a "shell." I am hoping someone might be able to help us identify if my wife really does have something wonderful here! Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Hi all New here, motivated by a recent find while walking in Kent, UK. Found this in a field. Is it a fossilized egg? That's my guess but no knowledge in this topic so could be wrong. Would love to know more about this find. It's about 1 inch in diameter and a third of an inch in cross section. Thanks!

Hello fossil lovers! Please accept my apology in advance, but here it comes: is this a fossilized bird/duck egg? It is too round to be a reptile egg and the white part looks like shell. The inside is crystallized. Sadly I can't provide provenance, as I bought this at an antique's shop from a deceased collector (for those who know him, it is from the collection of the writer of Bob Morane)... Doesn't look like just a concretion to me. Thank you for your time, have a good day!

Gone are the days when high quality dino eggs were freely sold at public auctions. I recently borrowed some catelogues from Bonhams, IM Chait and Heritage Auction that were 10-20 years old and was amazed by what was once available for sale! Here are a few eggsamples of pictures I took from the catelogues. Therizinosar Eggs with embryo exposed. Two examples of oviraptor nests with the remains of their mother guarding her young from whatever disaster took all of their lives. A spectacular nest labeled Troodon formosus. A saltasaurus egg, one of the most prized dino eggs to collectors. Large section of an oviraptor nest. A nice example of a hadrosaur nest.

Hello all- im new here but have been following this group for a while now. Hoping you can help me figure out what this HEAVY rock/ fossil is? I found it on my property up here in Northern California. As mentioned above it is very heavy compared to rock that are similar in size. It also has no rough edges. Thanks in advance!!!
