Hello! We were at Big Brook today and my son found this. Not sure what it is (if anything) and I cannot find any thing similar on the Big Brook websites. We also found some teeth and what might be a hadrosaur tooth fragment (second image). Can anyone confirm the hadrosaur tooth?

Ran across this rock on the Brazos River near College Station, Texas. Covered with round nodules. Dimensions are about three feet by two feet by 18 inches. Any ideas what it is?

This piece was found this past weekend near Big Brook in New Jersey(Cretaceous Period). Need help identifying. Was told possible sea turtle or mosasaur piece?? Help and opinions open. Can also take additional pictures if need be! Second group of pics after it dried out a little bit.. Thanks in advance

Greetings all! I found this in Southwestern PA in my backyard lying on the sun-scorched grass. Perhaps someone threw it at me, I thought. Should I throw it back? It measures about 7.5 cm long by 4.5 wide and is 3.25 thick.

Hello from Portugal! A 100% layman here. Not even sure if this is in fact a fossil, but am very intrigued by its shape. Seems partially fossilized - the sides are stoney and symmetrically flanking what appears to be a fragment of some form of segmented exoskeleton (?) which seems quite hard and strong despite its flakey appearance. I found it in the Algarve, at Galé Beach / Praia de Galé in Albufeira, Portugal. Have you seen similar finds? So interested in hearing your thoughts! PS I tried to provide useful photos, definitely let me know if I can do better to enhance the inspection!

Hello everyone, I was in Big Brook nj for a little while today and found this interesting bone. I'm not to sure if it's identifiable but it does remind me of a jaw section like a mosasaur or croc. Any help will appreciated, if I missed an angle or need additional pictures do let me know.

Hello! My name is Natalie and I am a new member living in Flagstaff, Arizona. I have always been interested in fossils and fossil hunting, but growing up on an isolated island in Alaska did not lend itself to many finds. The geology around Ketchikan, Alaska (the Southeast panhandle of Alaska) is very young. I know of a few ice age fossils found in caves, and some shells, but that is about it. I moved to Arizona years ago, but have just now gotten into rock hounding. And while rock hounding my partner and I have started to find some fossils as well! I am excited to learn from this website. And if there are other Arizonans who might like to organize fossil hunting trips, I would be interested in teaming up. I plan to post a few pictures of some unidentified fossils in the hopes that the experienced members here can help me out. Thank you! Natalie -
Hello everyone, found this mysterious tooth in a cretaceous stream in New Jersey. Haven't come across any similar or anything I can really compare it to, plus its kinda worn. Which doesn't help but the leaf-like shape alone is very interesting, hopefully this one can be figured out.

Hi, Looking for identification. It is the first hunt in a long time, and the kids and I were searching for shark teeth along the Calvert Cliff formation in Maryland. We found what we believe is a whale rib, but wanted to get some expert eyes on it. It is approximately 10” by 4” and 2” thick. It is dense weighing about 2 1/2 pounds. Almost has a “metal” fell to it. The shape just looks too unique to be a rock. We found it near a fresh fall section. What do you think it is?

Hello! I found this pretty little thing at the beach today. It seems to be a tooth of some sort. It’s about 4 cm long and 2,5 cm wide. Would love any feedback I could get on what it might have belonged to. Unfortunately it’s very frail and broke as I brought it home, but I tried to piece it together for the photos. The first two photos are taken with microscope 200x enlargement. thank you for taking the time to look at it!

I found this in my fathers collection of flint stones. I’ve been meaning to pop some of them open, but this one already shows some of its secrets. I’m afraid to break it, how would you go on about it? And does any of you have a guess of what it could be? I am very much a rookie at this.

Can anyone help me identify this bone fragment ? It’s from Sherman, TX at Post Oak Creek. It’s drying right now from being in the stream. Is it fossilized ? Modern ? Bison ? Cow?

I found this last year in north-central New York. It is from the Ordovician whetstone gulf formation and is about 1cm wide. I’m thinking it may be a crinoid calyx base but I may be wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Today on a hunt in the lower devonian of new york, I found on of the most unusual piece and I can't decide if its bryzoan or possible placoderm.

A month or so ago I found these while trout fishing in a creek in the lower Champlain valley. I have no idea what they are, so any info would be very helpful. They were from Ordovician rock that was pretty barren except for a few brachiopods.

While rock hunting out on our local river the other day for jasper, agate, concretions, and petrified wood; my little brother came across a fossil that we believe to be a crab shell. I am quite the amateur when it comes to fossils but hope to increase my knowledge as I go along. If anyone can identify the species or anything else about this specimen it would be greatly appreciated. Our area is Northern Oregon if that helps narrow anything down. UPDATE: After a lot more research, I believe it may be a Macroacaena, but not 100% sure.
