Can anybody ID what this is? I found this several years ago in the North Texas creeks. It has some spots on the top and broken shells mixed with it. Could that round dark spots be coral or bryozoans?

I found this 1 lb hollow rock at a creek in Middle Tennessee. It has some " sparkle" but I couldn't capture it on the photos. Is it some sort of fossil or just a cool rock.

Glad to be back. I'm here to share a rock fossil my co-contributor and research partner discovered. It was unearthed in north San Antonio, TX. I believe this to be "the smoking gun" of proof sea turtles once inhabited the shoreline and ocean of San Antonio and that an event of great magnitude occurred covering these creatures and allowing petrification to occur. Bold statements and conclusions, but this appears to me to be a small sea turtle that is sticking out of whatever material covered it. And it did not decompose. Your thoughts?

What kind of fossils are in this piece? It is riddled with jaw bones, rib bones, wing and leg bones. This weighs 3lb 4oz. Any help would be grateful. Thank you

Hello fellow hunters Many thanks to the responses for my last post which allowed me to ID a fossil rock as Stramatolite and not tule root. I found this marine looking fossil about one month ago in the Golden Shores area of Mohave Valley AZ where marine fossils are abundant. This rock is 6 inches by 4 inches and 1-2 inches thick. It weighs about 1-2 pounds. I cannot find any images online to help ID it? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Found this little guy in a junk store in Cleveland, Ohio for a few bucks. It has the weight of concrete with what appears to be two different types of rock-like textures. Some shapes appear to be organic or skin-like and the outside "rock" looks to be pitted or have pores. I placed a quarter and a ruler for scale as well as multiple views. Rock? Fossil?
