Greetings all, This is my first post so please excuse any obvious ignorance. I'm an absolute newbie in all things fossil hunting related. I was wondering if anyone help me confirm if this is or is a sort of a fossil or just a random rock? Found it near Hannover Point at Isle of Wight during low tide. Feels fairly light and has some distinct shiny/ gold-ish patterns among the cracks. There is also a sort of a vertical ridge going through the length of it. Thank You! Michael

Found in glacial deposits E Kansas. Originally I (naively) thought this was a shark dorsal fin spine- after a few minutes of research I found I was mistaken So, I now (fairly confidently) am believing this is a fish pectoral fin spine. I'm no expert on fish material, but one guess of mine is this is some sort of Catfish spine... but I don't know what other fish have pectoral fin spines. Any thoughts? From glacial deposits in E Kansas. I need some help on this one. When I found it, I assumed it was bison... however to my eyes it doesn't seem close to bison or cow after studying some papers. Hello everyone. For a long time now I have had a doubt regarding the fossil conglomerates of Orthoceras. Are they real or artificial? Is it the same as with the Dactylioceras that died together in large numbers? I appreciate any response.

Matilija Canyon Plant Fossil - Los Padres Mountains, Southern California

Found a carbonized plant fossil in Sespe formation conglomerate stone in the Matilija Canyon area of the Los Padres Mountains of Southern California. Likely something from the Horsetail family or something in the bamboo family. Based on the below report, these rocks are likely from the Oligocene or Eocene periods. The area has mostly Marine fossils but this was probably a land plant that washed out to sea and was deposited along with other flood debris on the shallow sea floor. I found this a couple years ago on a ranch in north east Wyoming. It was sticking part way out of the ground and it looked like a fossil of some kind. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Here’s one for our resident ichnologists. This is far out of my league to id. Found in Branson MO, it’s limestone. Bunch of ripples where I found this. I don’t know Branson strat, so unfortunately that’s the most info I can give you. The trace in question is roughly 1 cm wide. Thanks in advance!

Hi! I found these two “stones” on a beach in Møn, Denmark today. The first photo I’m pretty sure is a fossil (I’m very new to this so not 100% sure, but I saw one similar to it at the møn geo centre) does anyone know specifically from what? as for the second one, I’ve done a bit of research and I’m pretty sure it is just flint, but just incase, can anyone identify if it’s anything interesting? thanks in advance!!
