Hello again Fossil friends! I have another fossil I need help with. Found with other shell and coral fossils in a river shore in north eastern Kansas, most likely Pennsylvanian. It looks to be maybe a sponge with exterior and interior... structure? Couldn't figure this one out. Maybe someone with more knowledge can ID it for sure.

Just got this trilobite multi plate I’ve noticed a smaller few areas with pieces I’m curious if there just fragments or a smaller trilobite I know there’s a small blind species of trilobite found with the One kind that’s on this plate thanks

Hello everyone - I'm a new member, and although I don't know much about fossils, I did find this on Morris Island, South Carolina, in 2015. I haven't been able to properly identify it, and I was wondering if someone could help me? It is about 1.25 inches (3.18 cm) in length and width. Thank you!

The interview doesn't have to be today I just need to manage/plan one today before it's 3:30 pm. (As you might be aware the deadline has passed, but I can still manage to find someone as long as it is today. So please it's urgent and I don't want to stress more than I originally was). Hi everyone, I want to start by saying I am new to the site, so I apologize if I do something incorrect commit a faux pas. I am a younger gentleman in college living in North Carolina; my father instilled a love for fossils in me from a young age, and as I grew up I would explore beaches and phosphate piles. Even though it is just a hobby, I put a lot into fossil hunting; my interest was always beyond the surface level of "I love shark teeth," and I have done countless hours of research. This brings me to the present day where I call your wisdom and guidance. Unfortunately, due to my age, I missed out on what I would consider the "golden age" for North Carolina fossil hunting. I have come to find that NC once had a lot more fossil sites. Mines have been shut down, sites overgrown, and closure to the public; it pains me greatly that I was only able to visit a phosphate quarry once. I know there are options, like joining the fossil club; I plan to do this when I can, my only problem is that I am short on funds and college absorbs a lot of time thereby making my schedule rigid during fall and spring (I am pretty sure this is when most of their events are held but I might be mistaken.) I guess the purpose of my post is to ask for thoughts and guidance from those far more knowledgeable than me; what should I do? I really love this hobby and while the Aurora Museum spoils and the rare beach finds there's nothing like expanding your passion to new heights. I know that giving locations is also a bit of a challenge given commercial hunters, but if there is any guidance you all can give me there that would also be great; I am open to any formation, while I don't have any kind of boat I am still interested to take note of those kinds of locations. Thank you all.

Hi everyone, I recently got a couple teeth as a gift and was able to identify some but these were a harder nut to crack. The biggest (the dark one on the left) is about 4-5cm. This one also feels extremly light for its size so it might be fake. Any help with these would be appreciated!

I found this fossil on on a beach in the north of france and picked it up and suddenly realised what it was. It may have been washed across the sea from the English coast. I wanted to find out if it is a dinosaur fossil and what it was if possible. Size: Length of 6cm, width of 2.5cm and height of 6cm. Thank you for any help

Here is what I believe to be a portion of a dinosaur jawbone found in an Upper Cretaceous portion of the Morrison Formation of N. America (sorry if that area is a bit vague). I have other fossilized bits found with it I will be adding to this post soon. Thanks for your ideas on this one.

Hello everyone! I found this possible fossil? in a Coast in Uruguay (country in South America) - I found it after a drop in the level of the water, he was between a lot of rocks and look so different than the rocks (and I'm 98% sure that isn't a rock lol) what could it be? The size is 60x40 aprox Thank you all! And sorry for the bad english btw.

Im back at it again collecting more concretions. I found a bunch of small ones once again from the lincoln creek formation! But the wild thing is that I found this: Me and a bud were getting this concretion out of the rock when this arm was exposed. I plan to use a pin and hammer to get the tip of the claws out and I think I should super glue them onto the arm? And what can I do to preserve this arm because this is really cool.

I've always been really into fossils and prehistoric stuff but I only recently starting going out and fossil hunting. On a recent trip I found 5 concretions from the lincoln creek formation in washington state. I'm pretty sure only the middle one has something in it but I'm at a complete loss at how to go about cleaning these. I dont have a air scribe and I'm completely content with just seeing some of the crab, if there is one inside any of the concretions, and would love some pointers to go about this. Also how to preserve them once they are exposed. I've seen people using some chemicals but would love a specific brand to use!
