Hi y'all! Found this in Northern Phoenix area and was hoping for a potential ID. It is about 5-6in long, 3in wide, and 1.5-2in tall. Took it for a cool rock until I began seeing patterns within the pits and thought maybe it is a cool fossil instead? Also, not until I began taking photos of it did I notice it resembles a snake's head. Obviously it is most likely not that, but does really look just like one from the right angle. I can't even seem to get my brain to unsee it now that I saw it. lol!! Thanks for any thoughts or ideas you may have on this one!

My partner randomly suggested we go fossil hunting at Turimetta. I've never been fossil hunting and I was surprised by how much we actually found. I haven't uploaded pictures of everything we found bc it's mostly just plant matter that I've managed to find similar pictures of in other forums. I'm curious to know if the rusty-orange coloured ones are anything. Was really exciting to find them when carefully splitting rocks in half! There's also a tiny ball shape I found when I split open a rock and it almost looked like a tiny soccer ball or pine cone because of the lines in it. It didn't show up quite as clearly on camera sadly. And there's another rock with a cylindrical shape in the side of it. I thought that was very interesting so I took lots of angles. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello everyone, ive recently been offerred this 80cm long bone cluster. The seller said he doesnt know much about it but he said it probably came from a pterosaur. In my opinion it probably came from an azdarchid living in a coastal region based on the shark tooth that was found with the fossil. This fossil was found in Oulad Abdoun area, in the city of Khouribga, Morroco

We found this skull in the Peace River in south central FL. Can anyone help to ID? Many of the people I was with who are FL natives, and frequent fossil hunters, seemed to believe it is alligator. But I’m not convinced. It doesn’t resemble any of the crocodilia species. It lacks all teeth (and tooth cavities) and the overall shape is completely different. Based on the fused vertebrae at the base of the skull and the dental formation, I would have suggested either a bird or, more likely, of a marine species? On a not so serious note, I also would have been more inclined to believe it was of Jar Jar Binx. 😅

Got this shark tooth from a rock show a couple of years ago (when I was not into fossil collecting) and seller said it was from morocco, that is all I know as far as this tooth goes. (I am not a shark tooth expert by any means, but I can tell that the root is composite and not original) Thank you for your time!

I collected this bone earlier this week in an outcrop of the Calvert Formation (Early-Middle Miocene) in Maryland. I found several vertebrae in close proximity to each other that I have tentatively identified as dolphin. I will share them after I finish cleaning and prepping them. Next to one vertebra was this mystery bone. Any idea what it could be? Maybe part of the dolphin sternum? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all - while looking for Cretaceous fossils, I found some interesting chunks of what I thought might be bone of some kind amongst the piles of white limestone. When I cleaned them up at home, they started to look more and more like a very worn mammoth molar and some other fragments. Can anyone confirm the ID or offer any other info/ideas? Thanks! We are slowing finding a few things in our freeze/thaws! Please help ID the six posted below. I am very much a novice on this so my guesses are likely not right, but I tried. 1 & 2: Annularia type? Second pic is how it is also visible from the other plane! It didn't split well, whatever was on top of it crumbled off in the freeze/thaw cycle instead of coming off as a smooth plane so I unfortunately don't have the other half. 3. Probably nothing? I think it's just an unusual fracture, kids are convinced it's more. 4. Coprolite? No clue. 5. Stepanospermum konopeonus? 6. Love this tiny fern! So hard to figure out what kind it is though. Help please! 7. Could this be a caulopteris? THANK YOU!

Hello all, I posted a tooth yesterday that you kindly identified for me, and I have a few more fossils that I found that I would really appreciate an identification on. All found on Zandmotor beach, The Netherlands. There are four specimens: 1 A bone with a hole in the middle, seems like a vertebrae(??). Any idea what fragment it really is and maybe what kind of animal it came from? Length: 2.5 cm 2 A bone that I would also like any information about, although it might be really hard to identify. - 4 cm 3 Small, flatter bone. - 4.5 cm 4 Are these petrified wood by any chance? They do feel like a rock and also sound like such when I gently hit them with another rock. There are 3 pieces in total that I have shared. - around 6 cm.

I discovered this in some open space near my neighborhood. They appear to be bone but not sure what type? The open space where the fossils were found was formed during the Arapahoe formation.

Hello, I found this during my last trip to a NJ Cretaceous stream. I sometimes find Devonian coral fragments but have never found something like this. I believe the round parts to be remnants of crinoid stems but I’m unsure about the star shapes. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Dear fellow TFF members, The following two teeth are fairly strange to me. Im afraid Florida is as specific as I can get with the locality of the two. Could the first tooth be a snaggle??? Thank you for your time and expertise.
