I’d like for my Post Oak Creek collection identified (specifically the shark teeth), but I can’t find much information online about the species of shark whose teeth are found here (Post Oak Creek in Sherman, Texas). When I HAVE come across general information about the creek and other peoples findings online, there aren’t any pictures of the teeth or nobody else knows exactly what they have. It’s also hard to tell if I’m grouping them correctly, so I apologize if I’m mixing some species together. The longer teeth have very similar characteristics, but greatly differ in size. And the only teeth that I HAVE been able to identify are the ptychodus teeth (not pictured), but only because they’re so unusual in appearance. Excuse the quality of the images. I don’t feel like setting up my camera right now, but I do plan on taking clearer images once I’ve correctly identified each specimen.

Hi there everyone. I would really appreciate your skills/opinions about if my little ''treasure'' is actually a coprolite or not. I have always believed it to be, just because it looks like a poo with something in it to me. I have forgotten where i found it, but most likely it was in Newcastle, NSW, Australia. It is ovalish in shape and appears to have a ''skin' wrapped around some sort of internal content. As I know zero about fossils, your time and expertise is gratefully appreciated. found this on a south coast of england beach. think its a hoof. anyone know how old it might be or what animal it was from?

Found in NM badlands. I thought it was petrified wood but someone suggested it was fossilized bone. There are definitely dinosaur bones where this was found so wanted thoughts.

This is a rock that was taken out of my friends ponds. The house she purchased has two ponds that were made by the previous owner 40 to 50 years ago. So I can't be certain of where it was found.

Went camping over the weekend with my Boyfriend, we both love the outdoors… Anyways I have a love for rocks and I was digging for a new rock when I came across this TOOTH:) Completely awesome but I collect rocks not teeth. So I’m looking for any information on this tooth I have. Thanks for the help and Completely awesome . Found in Bakersfield CA

I found this fossilized tooth in/near/around the Arkansas River in Oklahoma over the weekend. I’m having trouble finding a match for it online in order to ID it myself. I was hoping someone from this group could help. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I found these 2 rocks in a bed of river rocks at an apartment complex in Denver Co. I found the biggest piece 1st and continued looking for more interesting rocks when I found the small piece. I was surprised that they fit together. The big piece weighs approximately 2 lbs and the small piece approximately 1/2 lb. If it's not a fossil then I need to know how it formed.

Hello I am looking for help to identify these two teeth. I was told that they are T. rex but I feel either one of both are Albertosaurus but not 100% sure how to tell. I have included many photos and measurements. Both teeth are from the Hell Creek Formation. The first tooth and the shorter one is measures 2" long by 1" wide The second and longer tooth measures 2 1/4" long by .3/4" wide. Any information would be appreciated.

Hi All, My father has this item he said his friend gave him when he was younger. I believe it was found in Russia, in a coal mine. He said it was a fossilized walrus tooth, then tusk - so I am not sure. Story is that was much longer but the miners who found it cut it into these smaller sections (about 5 inches long sections) and each took a piece - and one piece was given to my father as a gift. Ok guys i know ive had a rough start but i am a begginer at this and ive have yet to learn, that being said i think ive found something here and if it were authentic it would be so awesome ..I will post a scale with this asap ..But someone tell me im not crazy and this is a real dinosaur bone ive found in my backyard.
